Getting into Medical School, aka Holy of Holies (the F-1 version)

My adventures as an international student trying to get into a US medical school as a prestigious MSI student!

Location: East Coast, United States

I am a 22 yr old Foreign lady trying to get into an American med school. The journey has been "rough" to say the least. So join the band wagon and let's see if they think I'm good enough to become a doctor. I hope my story encourages someone, maybe you. Not necessarily to become a doctor, but just to follow your dream. Leave your comments as you read...I thrive on feedback. And if this is your first time here, catch up on what you missed, cus every post IS important...well almost all. So forget that board meeting(at your own risk) or skip that class (again at your own risk) and lose yourself in my archives. - Chef's Assistant (did a PhD student's dirty work for a semester, alone in the lab for 3 hours...can't complain, paid very well by college standards)

FOUR FICTIONAL/DREAM JOBS YOU WISH YOU HAD
- CEO of a certain Biotech Company- working on it...well kinda

FOUR FICTIONAL/DREAM PLACES I'D RATHER BE RIGHT NOW

LOL @ doing like Bijoux. So if i jump into 3rd mainland bridge lagoon, will u follow? Clapper light switch sounds kinda cool, abeg if u find one, don't forget me. My temporary solution to that, is using a meter rule to flick the switch on/ off while still lying in bed. O gal, we gats to yarn for real. U know ur chef's assistant job u're doing now, do they need a replacement for next yr when u leave? I'm so interested o, please lemme know and gimme the necessary details and contacts. I'd e-mail/ call u or IM u by this weekend.

peer pressure is very powerful...you just never know lol.

as per the light switch...mine is way on the other side of the room, i'll probably need like a 3m long rule to get to it.

And call me whenever to talk about the job. How I got it is quite a long story which I shd be posting pretty soon.

Abbey, nice blog, I'm also an aspiring medical student. What's the name of the biotech company you wish you were CEO of? I have some experience in that field.

Cheers

thanks overwhelmed...i probably would have appreciated the notebook too but it was overhyped before I saw it so my expectations were too high. It was beautiful though.

and as for what not to wear...i thought of doing a set up with my friends where they videoed me for a month or so with all kind of fashion blunders and then sent it to clinton and stacey(?)...
